Hello All,

Thank you to those who made it to our show on April 1st at Lenny's. We enjoyed being able to hang out after our set, thank you for the conversations. We will have a live video for "Dawn of Ages" online in the next few days, which we will post on this blog.

We are now functioning as a four piece after parting ways with our bassist, David. Spencer has assumed the bass position indefinitely. We wish to continue our friendship with David as we have with other former members. All contributions made by our former and founding members are necessary parts to a greater whole, which is Irreversible.

On Saturday May 9th, 2009 we will be preforming at Criminal Records in Little 5 Points, ATL. We go on at 4:30 in the afternoon, followed by our friends O' Brother at 5:30. This is a FREE ALL AGES SHOW so come on out. We will have a new shirt for sale at our table, as well as other cheap things up for grab. We hope for beautiful weather and good people.

We will have 3 days in early June to begin work on our new full length album, Light. It is our goal to have this album done and pressed by Fall of this year at the latest. With that comes extensive shows in and around the Southeast, followed by nationwide shows once we solidify the needs of traveling(i.e. Van, Trailer, etc). 

Check back soon for a live video from April 1st, a show flyer for May 9th, and any other bits of information we have to share. Until then, read up on planting food and create a garden in any space you have in your yard that receives direct sunlight. There is nothing like getting your hands dirty growing food to eat and share with others.

Filling the Gap

This is our new blog that we will use to share information about everything from our shows, recordings, practices, and writing experiences to things we simply feel important enough to share.

Since our last show Jacob, Spencer, and Zach traveled to Oregon and back over a three month period. Upon returning last summer, we picked up where we left off after Sins. We have also underwent serious changes in our experiences with music, and how it resonates with geometry, history, daily life, etc. The new line up includes three guitars and three vocals (Jacob, Spencer, JJ); Zach on Drums/Percussion; and long-time friend David Pogostin on bass. New experimentation is taking place in the areas of electronic elements, amp tones, pedal functions, and vocal styles.

Our current project is the completion of our next full-length album entitled, "Light." We have been working on this material for two years and plan to record the 64-minute movement in April or May. As with the two previous releases ("Age" and "Sins") all songs flow together, creating one large piece of musical experience. We have constructed "Light" using a twelve-point trip around the Circle of Fifths. Having to experiment in every key is an interesting challenge, but has offered us the ability to cover a vast range of dynamic soundscapes and feelings, indeed more so than our two previous releases. Light encompasses our collective experiences with transformation on many different levels, inner and outer. We hope to clearly convey this evolution so that it may be understood and discussed. Our skills and intentionality have intensified with the writing of this album, and the track listing for Light is as follows:

The track names and concepts for Light were created in 2007, but are now completing fruition into form here in 2009. It is our goal to record this album sometime between late April - May.

We will play 5 new songs from Light live on April 1st at Lenny's.
